Christmas take 5: "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas!"

For Christmas week I wanted something elegant, sparkly & simply pretty. I picked hollies. I used one of my favorite glitter polishes, can't remember the name, but it's really sparkly, has a holo effect & also changes color in UV light. It was the perfect choice & I'm really happy with the result. I now feel like my Christmas spirit is if full swing & I can proceed with the celebrations.

Here are my Holly Jolly Nails...MERRY CHRISTMAS to all & to all a Good Night!

Christmas Take 3: Oh Christmas Tree...

It's the week before Christmas, all my shopping is done, all my presents are wrapped. My brother & sister who are in the army are home for Christmas & we're going to have a wonderful time!

This week's design I was inspired by a picture I found on Pinterest, but for the life of me I can't find it anywhere today. So if you know who did this lovely design, please let me know so I can give credit where credit is due.

Anyways, it's just a simple little tree but it looks very elegant & the white contrasts so well on red.

Christmas take 2: "....and a Partridge in a Pear Tree"

Today I was trying to really get creative because I have done so many similar Christmas designs & I didn't want to be monotonous, but it still had to be Christmas-y. So I started singing carols in my head landed on the 12 Days of Christmas. I remember loving this song as a kid & settled on doing the Partridge in a Pear Tree.

Christmas take one:

As promised I am back! I am still nursing some very short nails, but then again my nails have never really been long, anyways I'm kicking off the season with a very simple Christmas plaid design. I copied 100% from this site, she did a matte version & mine is a bit more sparkly!

Broken nails

Hey followers, just a little note to let you know, I will return soon with some Christmas nail art next month. Right now I am nursing a few broken nails & one swollen finger from remodeling my home, but the house is looking great! I, on the other hand, am feeling a little bit like Wile e Coyote :-)

See y'all soon!

Hocus Pocus "BOOK" Nail art

HOCUS POCUS is my favorite Halloween movie, I know I'm not the only one out there that thinks it's a must watch every year, it's already queued to play on my TIVO right now.

heehee!

I found this really incredible nail design done by Lexi Martone based off the the character "Book" in the movie, who's more like the Sanderson Sisters pet than just their spell book. For her design she does an amazing 3D version using acrylic sculpt material, here's her nails:

Well, I have never done anything 3D & didn't really have time to experiment this time around, but I did the very best 2D version I could come up with...ENJOY:

A few Fall Designs for 2013

I've done a few nail art designs for Fall this month so far, I didn't LOVE any of them enough to keep them on for very long, but figured I'd go ahead & post them anyways.

31 Day Challenge Round Up:

So I completed my very first 31 Day Challenge, it was a lot of fun & not half as scary as I've been thinking it would be. I'm happy I finally decided to try it out & really enjoyed pushing my creative limits by trying some techniques I had never tried before. Some didn't turn out how I wanted them to, but oh well, I guess everything can't be perfect all the time, I will just have to practice some more!

Here they all are with links to the original posts.

If I had to pick I'd say my fav's of the bunch were Flowers, Half Moon, Secret Garden (book), Crosses (Pattern) & the No water marble (tutorial). I'd love to hear which were your favorite in the bunch!
