31DC2013 Day 13: Animal Print

Anybody who knows me can tell you, I am a HUGE animal lover! I currently have 9 pets in my home, dogs & cats, all rescues. I love each & every one of my furry babies. For today's Animal Print themed design, I drew my inspiration from the kitties.

Bald Eagle inspired 4th of July!

I really wanted to try doing something a little more challenging for this years Fourth of July. I had seen some other nail artists doing incredible manicures with the bald eagle here & here, so I thought this would definitely be out of my comfort zone & worth a try!

So I spoke to my inner "serious artist" & gave it my best shot. It didn't come out exactly like I had envisioned, but it still is pretty good for my first time realistic painting.

Haven't done an animal print in a while...so here's one using Zoya Dove as my base & then adding pink acrylic paint leopard prints. Not much explanation needed on this one, leopard print is pretty straight forward & makes for a fun & easy design.
